Review: Cavalletti Custom Bonnets

I have a definite weakness for fly bonnets.  There is just something so fun about designing and creating a fly bonnet that’s special to you and your horse.  Plus, they are the perfect accessory to help you stand out in the ring.  I had the best time working with Kathryn of Cavalletti Custom Bonnets to design this bonnet for Taylor, and she is ready to help you create one for your horse!

First, I had to decide on a main color where I chose gray.  Taylor is a bay, so I wanted a color that I knew would look fabulous on him but still a great neutral that would look good on other horse colors as well.

Next, what color piping?  This is where it gets really hard.  Cavalletti Custom Bonnets has so many beautiful colors to choose from, and it’s a fun problem to have to narrow them down to your favorites.  Turquoise is one of my favorite colors and bright colors have always looked good on Taylor.  I also asked for white for contrast.

It’s no secret that I love bling – more bling the better in my book!  So I knew right off that this bonnet had to have a row of rhinestones.  We were able to incorporate two rows of rhinestones which was even better!

The craftsmanship of this bonnet is superb!  It’s absolutely gorgeous in person and I could not be happier!  Not all bonnets are created equal, and you really want to get one that is woven in a tight manner (not tons of space in between threads).  Cavalletti Custom Bonnets definitely fits this ideal.  They are very well made, and you can immediately tell that Kathryn pays close attention to quality and the details.  This bonnet fit Taylor perfectly and I think the colors look fabulous on him!

The two rows of rhinestones are perfect for us!  I even had a couple of barn mates tease they were being blinded by all the sparkling!  That’s what I love to hear!  Ha!

As you can see, Taylor loves his new bonnet too.  I highly recommend working with Cavalletti Custom Bonnets for your next fly bonnet.  Kathryn is wonderful to work with, and you will love what she creates just for you.  Or tell her you want the Velvet Rider bonnet if want one like this!  Click on the link below to contact Cavalletti Custom Bonnets and see photos of their work.

My wife is a horse lover and stable manager. I wonder if you can give me an idea of your price range, and is it possible for me to get a gift certificate for her to buy the custom bonnet of her choice? (I messaged you via Facebook as well.)
